Chase Design Studios, established 1976, is a one-man studio producing original furnishings, architectural details, computer-generated graphic art and Fine-art photography.
Frank Chase has developed a broad scope of abilities over the years, combining old-world standards of workmanship with unique designs, emphasizing economy of materials and graceful strength of line in his pieces.
Frank has a catalog of proprietary 'stock' designs, but also welcomes
the challenges of special commissions; utilizing a palette of
exotic materials from around the globe, in addition to Hawaii's
own uniquenative species, Koa Acacia, Franks' creations have
museum quality character and are meant to stand the test of time.
Frank holds numerous awards for work presented in various exhibitions and juried shows both on the mainland and in Hawaii. These works include furnishings, wooden timepieces and dynamic/kinetic sculptures . Frank is currently a member of the Board of directors for the Big Island Woodworkers Guild.
